Love on the Edge
“Love on the Edge” is an exhibition exploring the transgressive yet resourceful sides of love. Are we able to demolish the constructs of otherness, and erase the demarcations set by discrimination and displacement? It is through the voices and practices of Eastern European women artists in the exhibition that we reexamine the e ects of postwar and current culture, some generated by trauma and social exclusion, or by ethnic, gender, and sexual discrimination, others by cultural displacement created by recent developments in the geopolitics and economics of the region. In di erent stages of their careers, these artists provide distinct perspectives and resistances, mediating old and current problems with fresh ways of seeing.
